The HR Christmas Challenge 2007

Christmas celebrations came very early this year because many of us will be away next week onwards. The newbies gamely organised an interactive celebration involving 3 teams: Elves, Thomas & Friends and The Creative Ones running around Raffles City, Esplanade, Marina Sqaure & Suntec to complete a list of tasks:

1) Use items in a supermarket to make a smiley face

2) Ask for a free piece of sashimi from somewhere...
3) Find a book cover/magazine cover/shop sign that bears the name of someone in your group

4) Integrate yourselves into the Esplanade Art Exhibits

Glitz and Glam 2007

We've heard some of the folks in EDB take the bi-annual D&D very seriously and so for a few days, the gals in HR discussed frivolous topics like hair, makeup, shoes, clothes etc. Oh wait, we actually discuss these all the time, haha!

The golden ticket, the (erhem) unexpected door gift of martini glass and purple feather I forced everyone to bring along to D&D

We were given official time-off at 4pm on the day of D&D to get ready for the big night. Some of the HR folks went home; some went out for hair & nails whilst the rest changed and made up in the office. Little did we know there exists a make-up artist amidst us in the form of Zhenming, our temp. She made See Yun & Wendy so pretty, even Lee Sar was tempted to be made up! :)

After the dinner, a few of us adjourned to Loof for a quick drink. Apart from Lei Suan & myself, the others are our HR newbies (Steph, Serene & Joanne) and a natural conversation topic is the upcoming HR Xmas party which has been arrowed delegated to them. :) More fun in December!
