Dear all,I think HR is one of the few lucky divisions to have the execs celebrate Boss's day with us. They thoughtfully prepared food & a goodie pack for everyone.
After our rather heavy feasting of old chang kee and gultinous rice this Mon, we are pleased to invite you to a healthy
subway sandwich box lunch with us to celebrate Boss's Day on:
Date : 16 Oct, Tue
Time : 12 pm
Venue : Huddle zone, #20
Appreciate if you can click here to indicate your choice of sandwich, chips/cookies and drinks by tomorrow, before 5 pm. ;)
Cheers!
HR Execs :)

EDB Networking Session @ Timbre
Between the grand Arts House and the laid-back Timbre@Substation, I chose the latter for the networking session organised for graduating students from the 3 local unis. Timbre's a great chill-out place and presented a refreshing vibe for a corporate event.
"Oh wow! At Timbre? That's really cool!" some students exclaimed when I told them our session will be held at Timbre.
"Wow, I have great support from the officers for this event (20 signed up). I wonder if they're keen to engage young minds or...?" I wondered out loud to a colleague.
"Don't be naive! It's Timbre, that's why!" the colleague chided.
On the afternoon of the session, the sky was dark and it was threatening to rain. Pour, even. Extremely worried and uptight, I harassed everyone in sight and wailed that it was going to rain. Lynn called up the meteorological service, Lee Sar offered to pray to the Sun God, Becky and I discussed Plan B, and I freaked the Timbre lady out with Plan B - shifting the event back to EDB. :D
Miraculously, the clouds cleared, the drizzle stopped and by 5:15, we were down at Timbre preparing for the big night ahead.
A big THANK YOU to my team for all the help! Shirlyn & boss for handling the messy PO & PR nonsense; Boss, Lynn & Becky for tagging and twisting the heads off the little Trexis; Ming for being the photographer of the night.
And of course the wonderful officers & bosses who came down for the event and engaged the students - Thank you! Students went away with the conviction that we're fun, dynamic and exciting. :)
Cheers!

The real early birds came at about 5:30pm. Lee Sar kept hounding us to let the guests in but Ming & I insisted on completing the setup first
The Q&A Panel in which the ladies were obviously not paying attention to Swan Gin and busy posing for the camera...
